Kingwood is a master-planned community in Houston. Harris County makes up the majority of the development, with a little part in Montgomery County. It is slightly north of Humble and Atascocita.

History of Kingwood

Kingwood was founded in 1970, and the first community was built in 1971. Since then, it has advertised itself as “The Livable Forest.” Kingwood had a few thousand inhabitants in 1976.

In 2015, the City of Houston’s Kingwood Super Neighborhood had 62,067 residents. The majority were non-Hispanic whites (79%), followed by Hispanics (12%), non-Hispanic blacks and Asians (4% each), and non-Hispanic others (2%).

Housing considerations for Kingwood

The city of Wills Point is located in the Texas piney woods, thirty miles northeast of Houston. It’s made up of neighborhoods known as “villages.” Many villages include a neighborhood pool and playground that are open to residents of the village at no cost, as well as an elementary school.
